2024 Intention: Get Playful With It – Part 4

Thanks coach!
OK I have summarised the list –
-Prescriptive silliness (Giggling, cheekiness in a look or action, silly jokes, being loud and saying or singing whatever comes etc)
-Avoiding doom spiral by playfully flipping the script (from, “What’s the worst that could happen,” to, “What’s the best that could happen?”)
-Being creative in fixing things/ art/ expression/ communication (bringing curiosity, lightness, less perfectionism)
-Finding ways to approach life and things with more lightness and space
“Is there one or two of these things that call to you most?” – Yes… the 2nd one of flipping the doom spiral script. It is concrete, clear, and a big challenge but it addresses the main barrier to my playful/light/curious attitude to life
“What would it look like for you to put your energy there?” – Scary. It could be a right mess. Imagining the worst case scenario is how I make sure my plans are solid and how i can best avoid bad/ difficult/ or even worst case things happening. Because imagining the ‘best’ makes me a bit naive or hopeful and leaving space to be taken advantage of by people, or just for things to go wrong that i didn’t expect or prepare for.

Oh, what a fun list! Love it. Take it and run with it! The only thought I would offer is to check in on that last question. So helpful to discover that fear. Now, let’s also follow your list to flip the script on this question. What would it look like to put your energy there? What’s the best that could happen?
As with all things we do, this is a practice, not a destination we reach someday. How can you be playful, light and curious as you explore how you brain wanted to go right back to a little bit of a doom spiral? Where else do you notice this pattern? What do you think that’s about? How can you love this part of you?
