I think what comes up is a feeling of rigidness that could lead to shame and self critical thoughts if I don’t manage to achieve these weekly goals even though I was careful to use the word ‘aim’!
I think I’d add as a rock:
Practise self love throughout the process by listening to my body and resting when I need to
And as a pebble:
Noticing any critical thoughts that come up and take them to AAC
I’d love your feedback on this.
As a separate question about goals – this is my seasonal one but I also have several smaller ones to do with jobs in the house / general life. Does that matter?! How many goals should I be aiming for without it becoming too much?
Answer:
Great awareness. You can already see how being rigid might not serve you. It’s ok for it to be there, especially as you start out. How can you allow it while adding in some other feelings that will help you navigate your goal. Adding self love to any goal makes the process a lot more fun! We’re here for all your coaching needs.
There really are no rules about how many goals a person can have. We often recommend constraint just to help you get the results you want. If you feel like you are happy with the goals you have in different areas of your life, you have full permission to go for them all. Just pay attention and see how it feels. You can always adjust. What feels good to you? What feels a little stretchy?
