My friend is always late

I work out with a friend once a week and pick her up on the way in my car. It started off great but she’s always running late so we end up rushing to get changed and get to the class after it’s started. And then I spend most of it feeling annoyed and stressed because she made me late.

Answer:

Your friend being late didn’t make you feel annoyed or stressed, your thoughts did. That’s great news because regardless of what your friend (or anyone else in your life) does, they’re not in control of your emotions, you are.
Plus, she didn’t make you late. Your decision to wait for her was what made you late.
So why did you feel annoyed? Do a thought download and see what comes up, and you can bring it back for more coaching.
