Autism needs Vs career progress: Slowing down or going for opportunity?

Right, so this is probably not going to include a model. I’ve asked so many questions in my mind that I never ended up posting, that I’m just going to go for it now. I don’t expect an answer to a question I may not be able to succinctly phrase, but maybe a suggestion to how to get starting thinking this through that I hadn’t thought of.
Main reason for asking now: I’m recently 99% self-diagnosed autistic. I’ve had meltdowns and shutdowns for years but they’re getting worse and worse. So I thought I should probably try to slow down. Do more of the things that would give my life some balance. Perhaps working less than full time. But now an opportunity might come up at work to spend some of my time on stuff connected to my value. It’s a great opportunity but I know that it would need a lot of energy and leadership.
Any tips on how to start untangling this? If it gets me closer to asking a more specific question to come back with that would be great…

So glad you came here to ask a question! We love them all at every length.
Let’s get curious. Tell us a little more about what makes this a great opportunity for you and in what ways it is connected to your values. Secondly, when you think about the energy and leadership needed, what comes up? Why?
Something to get curious about is the possibility that saying yes or no to this are not the only two answers. I wonder if there’s an opportunity for you to workshop how to make this opportunity aligned with what you need for your holistic wellbeing – a way to think about it is negotiating, or taking a ‘Yes, and…’ approach. What do you think?
