Hi! I have been working on my Autumn goal, and I would love some help getting it as powerful as possible. So this is what I have chosen:
Goal: to cultivate a loving and trusting relationship with myself
My rocks were…
🪨 use self coaching and modelling to find something to celebrate about myself every day
🪨 find a business mentor who feels right for me
🪨 teach myself to be better regulated – watch the “creating safety seminar until it is all taken in properly. Use my “like and love” activities to feel safe and regulated
I had also drafted:
🪨 use the decisions sheet to practice making decisions I feel confident about
I’m wondering if I have kept it a bit broad, as I am trying to focus on decisions, feeling safe and self esteem. Hmmm. Writing that down, maybe each rock should be about each of those things, and I take the coach out. So I could have:
Goal: to cultivate a loving and trusting relationship with myself
🪨 find something to celebrate about myself every day – use self coaching and modelling to do this.
🪨 develop confidence in my decisions – use the decisions sheet to help
🪨 teach myself to be better regulated – watch the “creating safety seminar until it is all taken in properly. Use my “like and love” activities to feel safe and regulated
Do you think this feels like it would be focused enough? When I was doing the Autumn worksheet, what came up was a lack of self confidence. I really want to work on liking myself more, trusting myself more, and I know that often my nervous system is shattered, which throws everything else off. My mum modelled some pretty severe anxiety all my life, but I really want to break away from that now. Aged 45!!
Thanks for your help! Xx

What a perfect question to ask yourself! Self confidence is built by making choices and going for them, knowing you might “fail” and you might feel uncomfortable. You get to choose if you think your goal is focused enough. You could even choose not to ask yourself this question at all and just start taking actions on your rocks and see what happens.
What if this isn’t about having the perfect goal and rocks, it’s just about making a decision and following through? If that was true, what would you do?
