Hey coaches!
I’d like to get some clarity about my current career situation: I’ve started a new education for a new career, and I’ll get certified in Jan/Feb.
My other two jobs are running until February, and my plan was to enjoy the education during fall/winter, accomplish the 2 other jobs, and then start the new business in February.
I’m in the middle of this identity shift, and I feel that it takes time to process that, and I don’t want to push and overload myself by starting the business too soon.
But now, I unexpectedly have the opportunity to start the business from now on, and I’m not sure if I should make up my mind and ride the wave or stick to my original plan. My gut feeling tells me to take one step at a time and not rush things. Cause I also feel that there are still some gold nuggets to discover in my identity shift. Which I’ll be using for my new business. And I think I’d miss them if I rushed things too fast.

Get curious and explore these thoughts: It takes time to process an identity shift. I will have to push and overload myself . It’s possible to start my business too soon. I’ll miss gold nuggets if I rush things.
Are they true? Are they serving you? You have a lot of thoughts about feeling rushed. Where do feelings come from? I would offer that your identity has nothing to do with what job you have, what certification you have or how many jobs you have and more to do with who you are inside. You could start the job now and still show up the way you want to, or you could wait and still be fully you. If you knew your identity was secure and you trusted yourself implicitly, what would you do?
Your gut says to take it one step at a time. What does that look like for you? See what comes up and bring back any questions or models for more coaching. Celebrate you for all that you have created! Isn’t it fun that your problem is having too many opportunities in front of you?
