Confidence at work

Hello Coaches,
I’ve been reviewing the past season using the worksheet and I would like to work use the next season to focus on my confidence at work. The past season I have felt very anxious in my job and I have procrastinated and hid away from my responsibilities and my role. I know this has not served me because it has made the issue feel 10 times worse than it should have been, or if I had just addressed it at the time.
I believe the underlying cause of this is fear – fear of appearing stupid. Sometimes when I communicate with a customer and I find things difficult to understand, I go into a panic, I stutter and I can’t get my words out correctly, and I feel like my brain shuts down and all I want to do is end the interaction as quickly and by any means possible, which sometimes results in the customer not getting the full or the correct information. This makes me feel like I’ve done a bad job, and then the fear spirals on continuously.

This sounds like a great time to start working on it – spring, new growth, new beginnings.
