Confused about the next step

Hello!
I have a recurring problem in my life. I get very excited when I start things but then when the first phase is done and I need to move to the next one I get completely lost and I don’t know what to do. I usually respond to this thought of not knowing what I’m doing by throwing everything and start the next new thing. This has been a constant in my career. I can see how damaging is but I don’t know how to to push through.
Thank you!

Answer:

Every action we take is because of a feeling we have or a feeling we want to have. When we can understand what feelings are subconsciously (or blatantly) driving our actions, and what we’d need to feel to do what we want to do intentionally, we can make some clear decisions about how to take the next step.
That being said, the first step is always awareness when we’re working through something. You have a lot of that shining through here. Let’s dig deeper. How do you feel when you think, “I don’t know what to do”? What is the emotion that causes you to throw everything away and start the new next thing? What does this revelation inspire or reveal to you?
What do you think you need to take the next step? Write a list without judgment, without stopping, and without editing your thoughts. What do you think about that list? Come back for more coaching when you’re ready with part 2.
