Email reply procrastination hell

Hi,
My goal this month is to focus on my freelancing & income generating work, specifically on sending pitches out / and seeing how many rejections I can get! (As per some recent coaching).
I haven’t started yet… and keep putting it off. I got stuck on an email from one editor that I haven’t replied to for a month. It was an email sent out to about 20 freelancers… asking if we had ideas on a specific subject.
I was on holiday when it came in, and I’ve since kept putting off replying to it. I have seen lots of articles come out on that topic already so I don’t think she’d be looking for ideas on it anyway.
But it frustrates me how much Ive put it off. And essentially procrastinated & ‘ruined’ an opportunity for work.
It now feels so huge to reply to her hence continuing to put off. And I’m loading all this negative self talk on not doing it….
Do you have any tips on ripping off the bandaid with this on me and replying to her / exploring if I can use it positively / learn from it?
Thank you so much

Answer:

Do you want to reply to it?  If yes, set a timer and just do it.  This is the perfect time.
If no, you can let it go. It wasn’t for you.
