I’ve developed an irrational fear this week on my bike. I don’t know what’s happened, but I feel spooked when I get on the bike and I have to go down a hill I break and I’m terrified of letting go and just riding down the hill. It’s as if my body just shuts down.
Circumstance: I’m on my bike and about to go down the hill
Thought: this is terrifying and fast.
Feeling fear.
Sensation: butterflies in in stomach.
Action: I break with the bike, get off the bike, walk down the hill, every time I approach a hill. I remember this big hill and get scared again. It affects all my hills at the moment,
Please help.

This is a great thing to explore here. Why is it a problem that you’re feeling fear when you approach a hill? What are you making this mean about you?
It’s interesting how we can change so quickly – have compassion for yourself, it sounds like this is as new as it is challenging. You’re in the process of learning about yourself, and that’s a good place to be.
