Finding Rocks that resonate

Hello Coaches,
I recently came to you with thoughts of being disconnected after some big life changes (closure of my business, moving over seas and growing and birthing a small human all within a year). I know that I do have some goals for my future but now my (first step for spring) goal Is that I would like to focus on my mental health and cleaning up the painful thoughts that I have about myself as when these creep in I become stagnant, spiral out of control and loose the confidence/ motivation to move forward with my life with love and empathy.
I have journaled many ideas that I can implement and have tried to create my rocks but they dont seem to feel very genuine. Is there anything that I can do to better understand what rocks would be best suited for my goal?

Answer:

It’s great to have you back! I’m going to ask you to set aside the idea that you have to pick the best rocks out from the many ideas that you have generated and look for three decent ones. For whatever reason – the patriarchy, socialization, media, western civilization – we have come to believe that in order to succeed, we need to do the best, be the best, and have the best. But that’s not true.
We can do good and succeed. We can be mediocre and succeed. Remember, right now you’re in scientist mode – you’re making educated guesses about what might work, testing them out and assessing what does and doesn’t work.
A great question you can answer for yourself is “Why haven’t I selected my rocks?” Try to address what ‘genuine’ means to you and why don’t the ideas you’ve come up with feel that way? When you’ve answered these, you’ll have some insight as to what’s standing between you and selecting your rocks.
