Hi coaches,
My husband suggested that we could get a cleaner – and a lot of resistance is coming up to it even though I think it makes logical sense, so seemed like a good topic for coaching.
The resistance is along the lines of – it feels too privileged. I should be able to clean my own house. I don’t have a real ‘excuse’ for getting a cleaner like having kids. Why should someone else have to clean my dirt? I would feel uncomfortable having a cleaner in my house because I should just do it myself.
The ‘logical’ side says – we can afford a cleaner for the first time in our lives, we both work full time, and my husband doesn’t clean. So it’s only fair that we split the costs and get a cleaner.
But still sooooo much resistance.

So fun to get to explore this resistance! We’re celebrating you taking a look. That’s a huge win. Let’s look at some of your beliefs.
What do you think is a good enough reason to hire a cleaner?
What do you think about people who do have a cleaner come in?
What messages have you gotten in your life about how one should maintain their home?

Don’t worry about deciding anything yet, and don’t worry about being logical…just get all those amazing default thoughts out. Bring back what you find for more coaching.
