Goal reflections

Hi,
My goal was to create templates for Instagram so I could market my business more effectively without each post more energy than I’d like.
I met the goal but came up against some thoughts that I see as repetitive and not that helpful.
Thoughts like :
It’s not good enough (I’m never quite satisfied with end results and I’m working on good enough being ok)
They won’t achieve the engagement as it’s generic and boring (I’m equating speed and efficiency with lacking true meaning and integrity)
I offended the social media person who helped worked on the project.
I wasn’t satisfied at first so instead of going along with it like I’ve done in the past, I was direct and intercepted, but my own spin and kind of collaborated on the design. I understand this wasn’t ideal for her, but I wanted the project to work and I didn’t want to feel like I’d wasted my money and to stay stuck in the situation.
The temptation to procrastinate is still strong. But I’m pushing through it and posting more regularly to let people know about my work and how I can help them. Summer is more quiet but I’m choosing to have faith that it will help in the long run and into September which tends to be busier.
I’m pleased that I’ve recognised some of the limited thoughts I tend to have and I’m on to myself. I’ve continued anyway.
But missing the high five yourself, you did it feeling. I’m wanting to just recognise that.
I chose this goal because in my previous ask a coach I’d mentioned about my skin issues holding me back in my business. And these templates and working system were contributing to the barrier of getting me getting things done and discussing my skin and well-being business. Once the weekly posting tasks feel easier, it can organically over time become a more natural dialogue.

Answer:

First, let’s celebrate meeting your goal! There are so many wins here. The only thing I see is that your brain thinks that bumping up against these repetitive and not helpful thoughts is a problem.  What if it’s not?
We set goals for the exact purpose of bringing up our default thinking that holds us back.  (And because it’s fun). How is what you’re feeling now proof that you’re right where you’re supposed to be? Imagine yourself at 80 years old, looking back over your life.  What would that version of you say about this season where you made and met the goal of making Instagram work for you? What would older, wiser you say about all the things that are coming up right now?
Spend some time with yourself and see what you find. We’re here if you need more coaching. And here’s your high five! Let yourelf receive it.
