Just picking up the below coaching I recieved.
Answer:
Your intentional model might not be resonating because you’ve gone from wanting to do something in your career to telling yourself to do nothing. You still want to start taking action, you just want it to come from a different emotion. When you think about your business goals, and it’s a really good day where you’re ready to go and you know you are totally going to acheive your goals and it feels amazing…what is that emotion?
What are you thinking about yourself when you’re feeling that way? That’s where you’re going to get the connection to your goal back. Because it’s not about the goal, it’s about your belief in your ability to acheive it. People make goals to run a marathon or make a million dollars or plant a beautiful garden…the thing that is the same is the belief.
C: career/goal
T: What do you want to think about your ability to acheive the goal?
F: how does this thought make you feel?
A: what action will you take from that place? What will you not do? Be specific and brainstorm steps you want to tak enext.
R: what is the result you want? Be specific and give yourself a date or other way you’ll know you’ve completed it.
Notice how none of this has anything to do with what other people are doing. It’s all you, friend. See what comes up as you explore this and bring back any questions or models.
My answer –
Usually when I think about my business goal I feel excited, so I’ve gone through the model again;
C- Career / Goal
T – This is available to me
F – Excited
A- I don’t worry what others are doing
A- Start taking action rather than just thinking about it
A- I don’t rush
R – I take steps towards my goal from a calm place and without feeling urgency
I’m just a bit confused now about what goal I should set, I want to work on not doing everything with urgency and I want to work towards my business goal. Do I change my goal to accommodate both? Or keep my goal of not doing things with urgency and trusting myself and work on my business in the background?
Answer:
Why does it have to be one or the other? You can have a goal of who you want to be as you approach your business goal. That’s setting your intention and your energy. Within that you’ll start taking action and make smaller, doable goals.
For example if my goal is to make my business fun and not hustly- I would make space to be creative, to do things I like instead of what “experts” say, and build in taking care of me. Within that I would fill in the specifics and those will be different every day and as my business evolves.
You said: I want to work on not doing everything with urgency and I want to work towards my business goal. How can you make both possible? What would that look like for you? Trust your inner wisdom. You know what to do. Goals and rocks is a beautiful framework to set yourself up for success, You make it work FOR you. Don’t let your brain tell you to stay stuck here being confused. Use that excitement and start taking action.
