Help with models part 3

Continuing my aim of developing my model thinking. Here’s one from yesterday.
C Daughter pours bucket full of water out of bath onto floor
T I’m going to have to clean this up and it will add to my tiredness
F Anger
A Get really cross and get daughter out of bath for thinking step
R Guilt increases my emotional fatigue
This would have been better if I’d managed to find that magic pause….
C Daughter pours bucket of water out of bath onto floor
T This is only water, she is only 4 and this can be easily cleared up.
F Frustrated but calm
A Ask daughter to get out of bath to think over action without getting cross
R Pride in calm parenting response – it could be cleared up easily.
Thank you!

Answer:

You have done some great modeling here. I love the self-awareness of how you reacted and what you can do differently in the future. What strikes me is the mention (albeit brief) about guilt. There is an interesting cycle to model out here. Try putting your entire UM into the C line and guilt in the F line and do both a UM for this and an IM about it
C: Unintentional Model above
T:
F: Guilt (and another feeling you could choose to feel in the IM)
A:
R:
What do you discover about yourself and your next steps toward your desired R as a result of doing this exercise?
