back to pt.2 !
Thanks for your feedback: “It sounds like there are two separate things going on that are very much mixed together in your mind and in your models. Which makes total sense. But in order to move forward, whether you have a conversation or not, we suggest cleaning some of this up.
We have what happened in the past and we have the 3 pictures on the website now.
How are they connected? How are they separate? Map it out on paper.”
As you suggested, the fotos today and what has happened 2 years ago are quite different things. The one concerning the present – i.e. my name and photos on the website – are actually great for me. The website looks good and it is a perfect reference. It does not make any sense to make any changes here.
So, as far as the present goes – there is no need for change or any further enegy invest from my side.
Re the past, I realize that I sway between wondering if I want to have a conversation about it sometimes and at other times not wanting to invest any more time or energy into the whole thing. It is over, there are no current or future touch points, so there would be zero effect on my current life. Except for venting my hurt ego – which can be a solid reason. Would it be effective, though? I have reason to doubt this. Would it be worth my time and focus? I´m not convinced.
So that´s where I am standing now. What do you suggest?
Answer:
What I’m hearing is that you are not sold on having the conversation because it may not be worth your time or focus, and you have reasons to doubt it’s effectiveness. If you were to trust your instincts on this, what would you decide to do? Why?
