“” What else can or could money be energetically used for (i.e. besides buying things) in your mind? What comes up for you when you see this list?””
The list I’ve been able to come up with so far:
– provide resources
– empower people
– create a sense of security (or paranoia)
– serve as a marker of gratitude
– create awareness around a cause
– influence politics
Not all of these are necessarily positive, but money isn’t really positive or negative and can have a lot of different effects. For some reason I feel like I should be searching for positive things over negative things. Looking at this list makes me feel both hopeful and guilty. Guilty that I have had access to a lot of privilege, but haven’t been able to actually create my own wealth or stability from that. I feel hopeful because if I did have money and resources I would be able to channel those things in a positive way and don’t seek to live an extravagant lifestyle, but I’m left feeling like I can’t really do anything since I can’t even figure out how to take care of myself.
Answer:
The great news is: what we can do in the future has nothing to do withour past. Your story of how you grew up and the resources you’ve had available to you is good information. You can use your story however you want to. If it’s not serving you, you can let it go with love.
Notice this thought: I can’t really do anything since I can’t even figure out how to take care of myself.
This will keep you stuck no matter what your circumstances. In order to look at your story a different way and create a new result, question this. How have you done a wonderful job taking care of yourself? What skills and assets have you built up throughout your life that will help you become the person you want to be? Maybe you weren’t supposed to figure out how to fully take care of yourself until now, and that’s ok. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Nothing has gone wrong my friend. The Universe has got your back, and so do we.
