Next steps for a diagnosis

Hi, I’d love some help please.
So I finally got around to re-listening to the “Understanding Your Cycle” module. I listened to it a while back and knew I needed to listen it again and take lots more notes, as so much hit home with me.
So, below is basically a summary of the notes I made. These are all the bits that I feel relate to me, with some additional comments.
Background: I suffer with PMDD, and it is the second half of my cycle when I suffer. Especially right near menstruation.
• The second half of the cycle is progesterone dominant – I’ve always assumed that I was progesterone deficient, as my main symptoms are struggling with sleep and anxiety. Looking back I’ve realised these have always been an issue.
• Progesterone should calm, slow and soothe – This does not happen for me.
• Hormones (P & O) drop just before menstruation – This is always my worst time, when I have a bad month. Especially when my period is late. The anxiety just builds and builds till I feel like I’m going to explode.
• It could be a hormonal imbalance in the second half of the cycle. So low amounts of P in relation to the O levels, this can result in irritability and rage – This is me too
• It could be a P intolerance. If intolerant to P the gaba receptors have a different reaction and can cause mood disorders, such as PMDD – Well this could be me too!
• Excess stagnation, this can “line up” with PMDD, causing frustration, overwhelm, trouble sleeping, yawning, pain at ovulation, irritability, resentment – This could also be me!
These are the main points that I got from the module, so I have already filtered out a lot that I felt didn’t relate to my symptoms. But where do I go from here? Can this be whittled down further?
My goal is to have a clear idea of what is actually going on in my body? I have a very analytical brain and like to understand root causes and the reasons behind things, it helps me cope with it better. So when you have an issue like PMDD that isn’t easily “fixed” to at least understand why it’s happening makes it easier.
What are my next steps to finding out exactly what is going on with my body/hormones?

Answer:

You’ve done some wonderful information gathering. We cannot give medical information in AAC. You can bring your questions about your cycle to the community for feedback.
Notice your thought that you need to understand why this is happening to feel better emotionally. Question it. Is it true? What happens when you think this way?
C: my cycle
T: I need to understand why this is happening to feel better
F: What do you feel when you think this thought?
A: how do you show up when you feel this way?
R: what is your result?
There are many “why” questions in this human life that we really want answers to. What if you could find some peace even in the not knowing yet?
