Not getting (instant!) results

Hi,
I recently had some coaching about feeling stuck with my freelancing – and it was very helpful, I realised that I’ve never been less stuck in my career more generally… And I have started to take action on the thing I wasn’t doing (sending pitches).
But: this hasn’t had any results yet. To be fair, I’ve been doing it for just over a week – and even then, not as much as I could have been…
But there’s is new feeling of being disheartened and worrying at doing the thing and it not getting me where I need to – that almost feels scarier BECAUSE I’m taking the action than when I wasn’t at all.
Logically, I know that I just have to keep showing up and doing it and eventually I will get results. But do you have any tips on not being put of by this? Because as I feel now, it makes it harder to carry on, especially from a place of power than panic.
Thanks so much

Answer:

First of all, you’re allowed to feel disheartened. It’s just a feeling you can notice, love and let go of, and it doesn’t mean anything about you except that you have some thoughts that might be in need of an examination. If you could take a pause and get lovingly curious about this response, what would you want to know? I wonder what wisdom might come from pausing to understand and love this part of you instead of trying to shut it down or sprint by it.
