Perfection Model vs Imperfection Model and learning from that – Part 3

Hey coach – thanks again! OK here we go.
‘What does letting things slip mean?’ – Not keeping on top of things / not doing things when they need to be done (sometimes subjectively or objectively need to be done). The dominoe effect of that. Real consequences. Dissaray etc.
‘Why is resting a slippery slope?’ – Because true rest meeting my needs could likely result in less time available for doing the key things. BUT ACTUALLY it means less ‘energy’ to do them. I put that in commas because it is fake energy – a stress, do-mode energy that GETS THINGS DONE
‘What would it mean about or for you?’ – to let things slip? Failure, unnecessary situations of big costs or big stress to restructure things to accomodate the slip up, discontent, impact on others.
‘Is this 100% true? Why or why not? ‘ – In some situation yes (e.g. didn’t book the moving van on time = no moving van = late move out or stuff on street or whatever = big costs and delays and adaptations needed). In others, no (e.g. didn’t finish my hosting setup for family members staying over, no problem, just take out 30 mins while they are here to make the beds and last cleaning etc).
‘Get curious about what else might be true for you.’ – Interestig thing that i depend on go go go and stress fake energy to get things done.
OK 🙂 over to you!

This is a great self-reflection, especially the part about the stress fake energy that puts you in go go go. This kind of energy is one way to get things done, as you say. But is it the only way? What do you find interesting about depending on that kind of energy? Tell us more about this.
Also, I am curious about whether there’s been a time when you have let something important slip. What happened? How did you handle it? Notice whether you learn or realize anything from recounting this story…what does that tell you about yourself?
