Hi 🙂 I have very recently joined the community and I have just down the first session of Harness your Hormones. However, I thought I would use the opportunity to ask straight away something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have been struggling for some years now with really low-mood in the week before my period and I believe it has recently become much worse. I don’t think I struggle with any physical symptom in particular, it is really a mental/emotion thing only. I have only recently discovered the existence of PMDD and I would like to understand better whether what I am experiencing is PMS, PMDD or something else! Any suggestions on how to go about finding that out and therefore what to do to alleviate these symptoms would be incredibly helpful. I feel it is taking a hit on too big of a proportion of my life unfortunately. Thank you so much 🙂

Episode 27 of the Period Power Podcast would be a great place to start. You can also bring your cycle related questions to the Facebook community. Go to the Replay section, scroll down and search PMDD or any term you want to find a wealth of information. Don’t worry, you’re in the right place!
I would offer you a question to ponder: What do you think you will get to feel if you can find a label or diagnosis for what you are experiencing? What we want is always an emotion. Since emotions are created by our thoughts, we can create them any time we want no matter what our circumstances are. When you identify the feeling you are looking for, you can bring it with your through the process instead of waiting for it to appear in the future when everything is “fixed.” Be compassionate with yourself as you figure this out. Trust that you will find exactly what you need.
A warm welcome to you! We’re so glad you are here. Please bring any thoughts, questions or models back for more coaching.
