Hello amazing coach! So here’s the thing, my goal for the next three months is building my business. I already work with it, but it all started in a very relaxed way and until now I was satisfied with it. I feel the time has come to make it bigger and more serious. I do have a very profound desire of sharing my knowledge because I think it will help so many people and I really want to change so many things about how things are done in my field, so I need to put myself out there (which btw makes me sick to only imagine, but am willing to feel everything and try and not freak out and of course, thoughtwork my way through it).
If I am very very honest though, this is not the only reason.
I also want to build my dream life (still feeling kind of in a good thought here)
I also want more money (still ok)
I also want to be recognized by others (aaaand here it’s when it stops feeling super cool)
I really don’t want to act from a place of not enoughness. So what to do?
Thank you love you for listening to my brain <3
Answer:
Is your desire to be recognized coming from a place of not enoughness? That isn’t a fact. You can want to be recognized and have lot of great reasons behind it. An Olympic athlete has the desire for the gold, why? There could be a million reasons. But that goal pushes them to do what many people don’t. They could stay home and swim laps for fun or teach gymnastics to children and have a great life. Lots of people do that. But that Olympic stage and the picture of a medal and their flag being raised while the national anthem plays….it inspires them.
What would be different if you didn’t make your desire to be recognized mean something negative about you? What if it’s a great reason to go bigger?
Play with it and see what comes up. Bring back any questions or models you want help with.
