Rushing pt. 2

Thinking that this tendency can be both a strength and a weakness brings a feeling of relief and also creates openness and a sense of power. It creates the space for me to make a choice to use it in the way that I want to (this connects with my coaching under the subject Approach to Work). Now that I have the awareness, I guess I can pause when it’s happening and decide what I want to do?

Answer:

The process of changing something that isn’t working for us does follow the pattern of doing it unconsciously, doing it with awareness, opening up to compassion and curiosity, choosing another way intentionally and continuing to practice until that becomes more unconscious.  We build new pathways in the brain this way. You get to decide what you want and make a plan to get there. Each step is important. Don’t skip the part where you just notice and give yourself a lot of love. Pausing and making a conscious decision sounds like a great part of your plan to let go of the rushing energy. It’s not a problem that it comes up because that is what you’ve practiced for a long time. Everything you want to feel is available to you. You’ve got this. The Doing Less webinar  is a great resource as you figure all of this out.
