Spring goal

Hi coaches,
I’d like some feedback on my Spring goal please:
Goal – To love myself through the process of a calorie controlled diet
Rocks
– Continue to monitor and reduce alcohol intake (knowing that too much alcohol makes me feel unwell, tired and anxious)
– Allow for slip ups or days when I decide to have a day off (set backs will be part of the process)
– schedule time for self care (every day!)
– Look for opportunities for fun and being in the moment (to avoid heaviness or burden)
– Use journalling and AAC to flush out any critical thoughts or negative self-chat coming in
I know this might seem like a dirty goal but it actually comes from a place of self love in itself. I want to lose weight so I have more energy and don’t feel bloated all the time. I want to sleep better and not drink so much so I can have more patience with my kids. It feels like the right goal but I just want to make sure I’m framing it in a positive way.
Thanks so much x

Answer:

Weight loss with a calorie controlled diet can totally come from a place of loving yourself. I wonder if there is any kind of thought that you want to practice through the process. Could practicing loving thoughts or actions be a rock you could incorporate or swap out? Remember, in TFC, we keep the big rocks simple and in a low number (2-4). If loving yourself through the process is the goal, what can you practice to make that attainable?
