Dear coaches,
I´m working on an issue I´ve been having for a while. My autumn can be quite long and then by the time it is winter, I feel like I´ve been having quite a boring and low life for two weeks. In other words, I´m still struggling to stay patient and not get into the room/world again too soon.
Also, I´m experiencing early perimenopause signs which has been aggravating the length of autumn and winter. This makes me feel trapped in my body today, as I used to feel quite limitless in my body with high energy most of the time until a few years back. So I came into this experience with a strong will to “push myself out of feeling tired and low”, which of course was not helpful.
Now, I`m still not sure how to navigate this long autumn/winter experience. Often, I struggle differentiating a real need for rest and retreat vs. lazyness. My default mode has been shifting towards resting and retreating. This can be painful because I feel llike I often do this to avoid consequences of overdoing it, even though I´m not exactlly sure where the line is.
When it comes to staying patient for long enough – but not too long – in winter, it´s often hard to navigate.
If you could share helpful tips and strategies or any other type of coaching, I´d be very grateful.

I see a big win here that you are aware of this and you are open to exploring it! You are doing what feels best for you in this season. What other wins can you see?
We would suggest that you start with taking care of your physical needs. We can always do thought work around any circumstance, but if you can get care or make changes that will alleviate some of your symptoms so you don’t have to use your mental energy there, that’s great as well. What would your next steps be if you wanted to do that? What obstacles might you encounter? How can you overcome them?
What does staying patient mean to you? Choose a specific circumstance that stands out to you. Do a thought download and models on it. See what is happening unintentionally so you can start deciding what shifts you want to make.
