Taking action towards scary surgery

Hello dear coach.
I would like some coaching today around taking action towards a surgery that seems scary to me.
For context, I’ve had chronic pain in my hip for 2-3 years now and after a long diagnosis process, it was determined that surgery is needed for pain management (and I agree with this statement). However, I’ve seen multiple specialists and most lately 2 of them who do not agree on the diagnosis and surgical route, accordingly. Now I have
For me this adds to the fear and confusion around making my decision. I am currently noticing a lot of resistance around calling my doctor to discuss the surgery.
C. Planning for surgery
T. I am not sure about this
F. Scared
S. Stiff
A. Delaying action.
It’s hard for me to bring myself to write to my surgeon and I am feeling pressured because I now have a surgery date for March 12 which I need to decide on. I could pass and have the surgery in the fall. I know what is going to help me decide but I need to discuss with my surgeon which surgery he has in mind.
This post feels incomplete but let’s celebrate that I came to AAC when I usually wouldn’t for lack of time. So I am sending this as is. Thanks for your support!

Celebrating you so hard for coming to AAC! Go you! And so sorry to hear about the pain you’ve been enduring. What are you unsure about that’s causing you to feel scared? Let’s start there and get a little more clarity about this UM.
If you feel ready to move into an IM (or draft one for curiosity’s sake), let’s imagine that your R line is talking to your surgeon about the surgery and your concerns. What would the model look like for you to be able to do that?
