Thank you for your previously responses. I did a thought download on the worst case scenario of «what if I be myself fully?” and had on specific circumstance in mind. Surprisingly the worst case scenario of what those people might think of me etc, wasn’t that horrible.. so I’ll definitely try that again for different situations. I adjusted my intentional model that I would like feedback on:
C: Music session with people on Thursday
T: People can handle me being myself fully
F: Accepted
A: I show up with confidence, I am relaxed, I don’t waste energy, I stay present, I don’t let my ego get in the way of the music, I care less about what people think of me
R: I accept and believe that people can handle me being myself fully
Answer:
It’s so interesting to actually show our brain that what it is afraid of really isn’t so scary! Great work. Keep that in your pocket for when this comes up. It will as you have practiced it for a long time. Just notice what’s happening, give yourself compassion and then redirect back to showing yourself that the worst is just an uncomfortable emotion.
Great work on your intentional model. It’s so much clearer when we pick a specific circumstance. Take it one step further and make your thought and result only about you. What other people think is none of your business, nor is it in your control. Acceptance comes from you being ok with you.
