Hi,
I recently had a conversation with someone who I’d noticed had been distancing themself from me. I’d hoped that I’d imagined it, but it turned out I wasn’t and they acknowledged it. It feels both liberating to know I wasn’t imagining it, but also terrifying to have my worst fears proved ‘true’ like that. (Even though the reality is probably a lot more complex than even that necessarily).
Do you have any advice on handling that realisation that something you feared is true?
Thank you
Answer:
Be in the moment. Stay present. What does it feel like in your body? What emotions do you notice? What wins can you see in this experience? What lessons might you be in the process of learning? It may not be clear yet, and it probably isn’t very comfortable. Let it be what it is.
