Perimenopause and tracking the cycle

I am a new member and still digesting all the fantastic material .I am in my mid 40s with long term history of am under active thyroid which intake medication for .In the last year my cycle has been getting even more irregular , ranging from 11 days to 33 and now I’m on day 42 with no sign of a period and lots of hot flushes. I’ve been tracking period on an app for a while now but just for the days and no other info . I think I’m entering perimenopause. Which feels daunting . My mindset is curious and I want to help myself. So my question is , is it still worth tracking my cycle if it’s about to end and if so which method would be best ?
Thanks
